4/3/26 Thursday
Van in garage for service.
Spent the time waiting for it in the office mostly playing recorder. I can feel/hear some improvement. It's a case of slowly developing the control of breath, finger coordination and tongue articulation control, and getting it all synchronised. The more time spent with the recorder the more it feels natural and all the motor control skills start to develop.
Frogspawn in the garden pond!
An evening home alone, spent with the recorder again.

First skylark singing on the hill during dog walk. Still no frogspawn though
Two hares in field beside house at 9:30pm when we got back from Mah Jong.

5 huge frogs in garden pond! plus croaking noises.
Twist to groomers.

Dog walk w/ K and Moth. Wet & breezy. 2 hares, together ran off in tandem across hill. No Frogspawn yet.
Curry 1pm with Flinties @ Saffron Presents... Kaweco Brass Sport pen!!!! Back to theirs for cake & chess

Cut down last tree outside garden on side adjacent to where K's studio might be going
15 mins recorder practice - starting at the beginning of the tutor book. Think I'll make it my new project.
Dog Walk : 2 ducks on loch, brown head, green stripe across face over eye. Teal. Sunny, showery, rainbow. Twist came too!
Alt-Alt-W at Weisdale Hall : Nomadic Pizza... v tasty! Funghi with confit garlic in the topping & chips w/ mozzarella. Those present : Andrew & Lorna, Clive & Gwen, Me & K, Toby (not eating).
Built 3D wooden model "steampunk airship" (J&P's B/day present) in evening - fiddly (and it's classed as 1.5 stars out of 5 for difficulty!) Enjoyable.
Noodling on mandolin - must play more in my den after finishing the 3D model
